The Press Hotel

Contemporary Hotel In Portland

Located in the heart of Portland’s Old Port, the Gannett Building was built in two phases between 1923 and 1947 to house the local newspapers, the Portland Press Herald and Maine Sunday Telegram.  Designed in accordance with the National Park Services guidelines for historic re-use, the project received a 2015 Maine Historic Preservation Honor Award.

The Press Hotel was designed in collaboration with Stonehill & Taylor, an NYC-based design firm, and construction managers Wright-Ryan Construction of Portland.
